Saving data and moving between eForms

Data is not saved until you click a Save button or move to another eForm. You will always be warned if you attempt to save an eForm containing unanswered mandatory questions or if you attempt to leave an eForm containing unsaved data. You can also choose to see a warning message if you attempt to save an eForm without having made any changes to it. Set this via Tools > Options > eForm.

Links to other eForms

Hotlinks may be included on an eForm. These are underlined text links that take you directly to another eForm. See image

The destination eForm is usually related in some way to the data you have just entered. For example, if you indicate that an adverse event has taken place, the hotlink may take you to an eForm where details of the event are to be recorded.

Links to other subjects

If necessary, a hotlink may be designed to take you to an eForm for a different subject or even a different study. If you do click a link that opens another subject, this subject will remain open until you actively return to the original subject. The easiest way to return is via the Recent Subject list located at the top of the screen beneath the menu options. From here, you can either double click the subject to open the schedule or right click the subject and select 'Go to last opened eForm' to go directly to the eForm you most recently accessed.
