How user roles work

Your system administrator will create a user account (consisting of a user name and password) for everyone who uses MACRO and will assign a user role to each user. User roles are defined by a set of permissions, determining the level of access within each MACRO module. For example, the permission 'Enter data' allows you to open an eForm and enter subject data. This flexible system of user roles can be set up in the way that best reflects the practice of your individual organisation. Each user can be given access rights to reflect his/her exact role rather than being restricted to the standard roles within the industry.

Standard user roles

Throughout this help system, when we use terms such as 'data monitor' or 'data reviewer', we are referring to standardised roles which may differ either in name or function from those used by your organisation.
