About the BV module

Individual questions are automatically validated every time that an eForm is opened by a user with the ‘Change Data’ permission and every time that the eForm is saved. Validation consists of running any question validation and 'collect if' conditions, and calculating any derived values.

Use the Batch Validation module to run validation without having to open each individual eForm.

Be aware that batch validation may lead to the revocation of signatures in authorisation questions.

A subject will not be revalidated in the following situations:

The subject is frozen or locked - you can use the Auto Unfreeze/Unlock options described in section 4.5 to temporarily unfreeze/unlock any frozen/locked data
The subject has the status Not Available
The subject is blank (has no data entered)
The study definition is open for editing
The study has the status 'Suspended' or 'Closed to Followup'

An eForm will not be revalidated in the following situations:

The eForm is frozen or locked - you can use the Auto Unfreeze/Unlock options described in section 4.5 to temporarily unfreeze/unlock any frozen/locked data
The eForm has the status Not Available
The eForm is open in the Data Entry module
