Repeating visits and eForms

Repeating (or cycling) visits and eForms are created by the study designer when a particular visit or eForm may need to be completed more then once. The cycle numbers for a repeating visit or eForm are displayed in square brackets after the visit/eForm name both on the schedule and at the top of an eForm.

Repeating visits

If, for example, the study requires the same set of data to be collected at each visit, a repeating visit will be created by the study designer. When you complete a repeating visit, an identical visit with uncompleted forms will be inserted into the schedule immediately to the right of the original visit. When you have completed as many visits as you need, ignore the new one that appears and continue through the study as normal.

Repeating eForms

If, for example, there is an eForm in the study that deals with adverse events, it may be made a repeating form as the study designer would not know how many events might need to be recorded in a single visit. When you complete a repeating eForm, a message will be displayed asking if you would like to open a new cycle of the eForm. Click Yes to insert a new blank copy of the eForm into the schedule immediately beneath the original eForm. When you have completed as many eForms as you need, ignore the new one that appears and continue through the study as normal.

It is possible for the study designer to have set up repeating eForms within repeating visits which can result in a large schedule. Work your way through as normal.
