Using SELECT

The SELECT section of the Query Module enables you to specify the questions you wish to use in your query.

Selecting a study

Select a study from the drop down list of studies in your chosen database.

Specifying the questions to be used in your query

When you have selected your study, you will see a tree diagram of its contents. Click in the square boxes on the tree diagram to select different parts of the study. Your selection will appear in the area to the right of the tree and will be updated as you progress through your selection.

Using the tree view to specify data

Where there is a + next to a box, click on the + to view all the options in that category, and make your selection:  

 

Clicking on the + next to Visits will show you a list of all Visits in the study. You can then click in one or more boxes to select individual visits to view.

Clicking on the + next to an individual visit will show you a list of questions associated with that visit.

 

Clicking on the + next to Forms will show you a list of all Forms in the study. You can then click in one or more boxes to select individual forms to view.

Clicking on the + next to an individual form will show you a list of questions associated with that form.

 

Clicking on the + next to Questions will show you a list of all Questions in the study. You can then click in one or more boxes to select individual questions to view.

 

Clicking on the + next to an individual question will show you a list of response attributes associated with that question. More info

 

To close all the boxes in the tree diagram, select Collapse nodes in treeview from the View menu.

Restrictions

You can include different combinations of Visits, Forms, Questions and Attributes in your query but you cannot specify individual items if you have also selected All Questions in the same category.
