Creating a real number question

To create any new question, you need the 'Create question' permission

Creating a real number question

  1. Select Insert > Question. Alternative method

  2. Enter a code for the new question. Help on creating codes...

  3. Enter a name for the new question. Help on creating names...

  4. Select Real Number from the Question Type drop down list.

  5. Select a unit of measurement from the Unit of Measurement drop down list. This list is maintained in the LM module.

  6. Enter a format or select one from the Format drop down list. This determines how many digits and decimal places can be entered and how the number should be displayed. A decimal point is optional but if you use one, you must include at least one digit before and after the point and the format must correspond to that used in the regional settings on the computer running the SD module.
    A real number question cannot be created without a format. Help on number formats...

  7. Click OK to create the question.
