Question fonts and colours

You can change the appearance of a question, its caption or any other text item (including comments and hotlinks) on an eForm by changing its font details. You can change the font details of a question's caption independently of its data entry field. See image

Note that response text for thesaurus questions will always display as black (for uncoded questions) and orange for coded questions, regardless of any font colour that you specify here. In addition, the data entry field for a thesaurus question will always have an orange border.

Changing font details

Right click on a question caption or its data entry field, or a text item, to see the Font detail options. See image

Select the Font item to change the font of the text. This displays the standard Windows Fonts dialog allowing you to select font, style and size.

Select the Font Colour item to change the font colour of the text. This displays the standard Windows Colours dialog allowing you to select the font colour.

You can also change font details by clicking on a question's caption or data entry field to select it, and then selecting a font option from the Format menu at the top of the screen.

Font defaults

You can change the default font for eForms by selecting Format > Defaults plus a font option. When you set the font of an individual question or caption, this overrides the default setting, and subsequent changes to the default setting will not affect any questions whose font details have been set separately.

Setting font details of multiple items

You can use the lasso to change the font of several items at once. Click and drag the mouse around the items you want to change, and release the mouse button. The selected items will be shown with dotted rectangles, with a blue square "handle".

Right click on the blue handle to see the lasso menu, and select Set Font or Set Colour. See image
