Creating a thesaurus question

To create any new question, you need the 'Create question' permission

A thesaurus question is used as part of the Clinical Coding feature and is displayed on an eForm as a standard text box with an orange border. See image

It enables data entry users with the relevant permissions to code the free text response using an associated MedDRA dictionary.

It is not possible to define validation or set a display length for a thesaurus question.

After coding

The originally entered response will continue to be displayed in the text box after the response has been coded.

Response text will always be displayed in black for an uncoded question and orange for a question with the status of 'Coded', regardless of the font colour that was specified when creating the question.
