System Management module

System Management Logs

The System Management module includes two logs containing information about important events within a database.

To avoid slowing the system, both logs are limited to displaying the most recent 10,000 records. To view entries beyond this range, use the filter fields at the top of the screen.

System Log

This lists the system-related activities, such as the creation, deletion, copying, import, export and distribution of studies, the import and export of laboratories and subject data, and the manual deletion of study locks.

To access the System Log, you need the 'View system log' permission

  1. Select View > System Log... The System Log window is displayed.

  2. Specify the report settings. Explanation of report settings

  3. Click Refresh All to view the report in the window below the selection area.

The 'LogNo' column is only used when there is more than one entry with the same timestamp (within the same second). Otherwise, it remains at '00'. The combination of Date & Time with LogNo gives a unique identifier for a log entry.

User Log

This lists user-related activities, such as logging in and out of modules, user role assignment and the changing of passwords.

To access the User Log, you need the 'View user log' permission

  1. Select View > User Log... The User Log window is displayed.
