System Management module

About the System Management Module

This module acts as the control centre for the entire MACRO system. If you have the appropriate permissions you can use the System Management module for:

Database management

• Create and register databases

User and role management

• Create a set of roles by defining the access permissions for each role

• Create individual users and give them access to individual databases

• Assign specific roles to individual users

Subject group management

• Create and define subject groups

• Assign user access to subject groups

• Manage dynamic subject groups

• Populate static subject groups

Password management

• Change your password

• Reset the password of another user

• Specify the settings for all passwords ("password policy")

System management

• Specify the system timeout for all other modules except for DE/DR which has its own setting

• View logs of important events within the databases

Site, study and laboratory management

• Create sites

• Associate sites with studies, laboratories and users

• Change the status of sites and studies

• Export study definitions, laboratory definitions and subject data

• Import study definitions, laboratory definitions and subject data

• Transfer subjects between sites
