Signing eForms

Some eForms must be signed off electronically by an authorised user to indicate that subject data has been recorded accurately. Electronic signatures can be used for any question. For signing off an eForm, there will usually be a special certification question at the end of the eForm. See example

  1. The study designer will have specified which questions need to be answered by an authorised user and also the user role that defines such a user. There may be an 'Authoriser' role, created especially for this purpose.

  2. When you attempt to answer one of these questions, a login box appears with a message asking the user with the specified role to log in. Contact your system administrator if you do not know who holds this user role.

  3. When the authorised user enters their user name and password, the data is accepted.

  4. Data entry users do not need to re-log in.
