Event Management module
Use this module to set up automatic actions triggered by data entry/review events in a study. For example, you might want to trigger a set of Command Line calls to freeze a subject and export subject data when a study completion eForm is completed or you might want to send an email to a team member whenever a new Adverse Event eForm is saved. Event actions are processed as soon as the associated eForm is saved.
MACRO includes two action types; running a set of Command Line calls and sending an email.
You can monitor an entire study or specific visits, eForms or questions for any of the following study events:
Data status changes
Freeze/lock status changes
DCR status
SDV status
Change to response data
Creation of a new subject
There is no notification of a failed action and no automatic attempt to re-run it but you can view failed event actions in the Event Viewer. You can manually re-run them from the Event Viewer and from the Command Line.
You can also read and process subject events by writing your own event handlers.
Event definitions are included in study exports and imports. When importing a study containing events, all event actions are reset to 'None' to avoid the potential confusion of automated activity. The configuration settings for an event will be restored when you re-enable the action.
