To edit the configuration settings, you need the 'Configure Remote Data Transfer' permission. This feature has a database-wide scope.
The steps required to configure remote data entry are detailed in the MACRO Installation Guide and so it is likely that all configuration will have been completed during the installation of MACRO.
To access the configuration settings, select Configure... from the tool bar.

This is a name you choose to represent the configured MACRO server and does not need to match any other setting. |

The address of the 'RemoteDataTransfer' web site on the configured MACRO server including trailing slash. For example: http://m4-rde-server/remotedatatransfer/ |
File Transfer Address |
The address of the RemoteFileTransfer web site on the configured MACRO server including trailing slash. For example: http://m4-rde-server/remotefiletransfer/ You only need to enter this if you are using the compressed subject data file transfer type (only available if both server and site are running v4.9.1 or later). |
Port Number |
The port number to be used on the server. |
Timeout(s) |
This period controls how long the server will wait for a successful connection. The default is 60 seconds. If this period is exceeded, a message is displayed informing you that the transfer has timed out. |

This is the time period during which the configuration settings in this window will be valid. If you attempt to transfer data outside of this period, a message is displayed informing you that data transfer is not possible. |

Output Location |
The location of the log files created at the time of data transfer and auto import. The default location is the Out Folder in the MACRO application folder. |
You can click the Test button at the bottom to check that the connection is successful.
