Enabling the Data Entry/Data Review homepage

Once enabled, the homepage is displayed when you log in to the Data Entry/Data Review (DE/DR) module and whenever you click the Home icon in the toolbar. You can choose between using the standard MACRO homepage or you can specify your own URL. If you choose the standard MACRO homepage, you can go on to use the Report Management (REP) module to add text, pictures and links to standard/custom reports and study documents.

You must use the DE/DR module to enable the homepage. Once this is done, you can use the REP module to specify how the homepage should look.

Enabling the homepage

  1. Log in to the Data Entry/Review module.

  2. Select Tools > Options. The Options window is displayed at the Environment page with the General node selected.

  3. Enter your required URL. To use the standard MACRO homepage, enter http://localhost/reports/home.aspx?updateuser=1

  1. If using a custom URL, you can check the Check homepage URL box to display the standard homepage instead if the custom URL is not entered correctly or is otherwise invalid.

  2. Check the Post User credentials... box if you will be adding links to reports on the standard homepage. This ensures that the current user's details will be passed to the reports, so that each user will only see information for the studies and sites permitted by their role.

  3. Click OK.

When first enabled, the standard MACRO homepage is displayed but contains no information. The next step is to add text, images and links to reports and study documents.

You can specify an image to be used at the top of the standard homepage by adding the HomepageLogo setting to the web.config file.
