Creating an integer number question

To create any new question, you need the 'Create question' permission

An integer number question requires the data entry user to enter an integer into a text box. See image

An integer number question response can only contain 10 digits so if you need more, you should use a real number question instead with the required non-decimal format.

Creating an integer number question

  1. Select Insert > Question. Alternative method

  2. Enter a code for the new question. Help on creating codes...

  3. Enter a name for the new question. Help on creating names...

  4. Select Integer Number from the Question Type drop down list.

  5. Select a unit of measurement from the Unit of Measurement drop down list. This list is maintained in the LM module.

  6. Enter a format or select one from the Format drop down list. This determines how many digits can be entered. An integer question cannot be created without a format.  Help on number formats...

  7. Click OK to create the question.
