You can input individual responses using the Batch Data Loading module. If you are working on only one or two questions at a time you may find this method quicker and easier than using the MACRO Data Entry/Review module. For example, if you were taking only blood pressure readings from a number of subjects, it would probably be quicker and easier to use Batch Data Loading to input your results. But if you were working sequentially through a complete, multi-question eForm for one subject at a time, the Data Entry/Review module would be a better choice.
To input an individual response, follow the steps below, working across the Batch Response Entry Interface from left to right. When you make a selection, the next fields will be enabled.
Select the study into which you want to input the response, from the drop down list in the Batch Response Entry Interface
Select a Site, then type in a Subject ID or a Subject Label.
Select a Visit, then type in a Visit Cycle or a Visit Date.
Select an eForm, then type in an eForm Cycle or an eForm Date.
Select a Question, and, where appropriate, type in the repeat number of a repeating question group.
Type in the Response Text you wish to input, or select the appropriate Response Code.
If no response is available for a question, then leave the Response Text field blank and instead check the Set Status to Not Available box.
Click Add or Add & Clear or Clear from the Entry Commands:
Clicking Add will place the details of your response in the response buffer, ready to upload into your master database. The information will also remain in the Batch Response Entry Interface.
Clicking Add & Clear will add the information to the response buffer and also remove it from the Batch Response Entry Interface.
Clicking Clear will clear the Interface without putting your data into the response buffer.
When your data appears in the response buffer, you can edit it, if necessary. Help on this...
When you are ready to import the data into your database, click Upload. Help on uploading...
Note: You cannot upload any question responses for an eForm until its eForm or visit date question has also been entered.
Any laboratory test questions will be validated automatically according to the laboratory currently associated with the eForm. If there is no laboratory associated with the eForm, one will be selected automatically from those available for the site. If there is more than one laboratory available for the site, it is not possible to predict which one will be selected.
