To duplicate a question, you need the 'Create question' permission
Duplicating a question within a single study gives you a new question with an identical definition but a different code. This is a good alternative to creating numerous questions with similar definitions. It is particularly useful if you need a number of category questions, each with the same values (e.g. 'Yes' and 'No').
Click the Questions shortcut button located on the toolbar beneath the menus. The question list is displayed.
Right click on the question you wish to duplicate and select Duplicate Question Definition from the popup window.
The original question code is displayed. Adapt this or change it completely to create the code for the new question. Help on creating codes...
Click OK to create the duplicated question, or Cancel to abort.
The new question is created and the Question Definition window is displayed. It will contain the same details as the definition for the original question, except that the question code and export code will come from the new code that you have assigned.
You can now make any necessary changes to the question definition and click OK to save them, or Cancel to abort.
